Terms & Conditions


1.

These General terms and conditions will form part of any offer made by Total Extensions Limited and shall accompany the Estimate made to the Customer, all estimates are fixed for a period of 30 days.

2.

Where drawings or specification have been provided by the Customer or Agent – due allowance has been made for their specific requirements unless stated or qualified otherwise.

3.

Total Extensions will carry out the works in accordance with their Estimate on a FIXED PRICE BASIS subject to any adjustment made in PROVISIONAL AND PRIME COST SUMS or VARIATIONS to the work.

4.

Any VARIATION to the work requested by either the Customer, Agent or Building Control that deviates from that priced for will be subject to a reasonable additional charge or reduction where appropriate – Every effort will be made to advice the customer of any cost variation prior to the works carried out unless by nature it will cause delays to the progress of works.

5.

Foundations have been allowed to a depth of 1000 mm and are subject to variation caused by ground conditions or unforeseen obstructions – Any variation to foundation depths as instructed by Building Control would be subject to an additional charge on a pro rata basis.

6.

Our Estimates assume a FREE supply of electricity and water will be made available to us.

7.

Our Estimates assume Welfare facilities are reasonably made available to us – The Company will provide a temporary maintained WC Suite for our operatives use on site for any works that exceed FOUR weeks duration at our cost.

8.

All materials and Goods supplied by the Company will remain the property of the Company until paid for in full by the Customer – The Company retains the right to remove materials and goods that remain unpaid for.

9.

All packaging, waste, rubbish arising and surplus materials remain the property of the Company and will be removed by the company unless specifically agreed

10.

The suitability and welfare of any materials or goods supplied by the Customer on a FIX ONLY basis will remain the customer’s responsibility

11.

The Company cannot be liable or accept financial or other responsibility for default or delays caused by act of god, industrial action, fire, flood, drought or tempest beyond its reasonable control.

12.

Unless stated otherwise a Deposit is requested by the Company equal to 10% of the total Estimate.

13.

Interim payments will be requested at approx. 14 day intervals – Interim stage payments relate to specific items of work complete plus the value of unfixed materials on site in accordance with the schedules provided – Interim & Final Payments are due within 7 days of request.

14.

PROVISIONAL SUMS – Provisional Sums have been included because the exact quantity or value of works cannot be determined at the time of Estimate – ANY work or materials provided will be costed and set against the Sum and the account adjusted accordingly.

15.

PRIME COST SUMS –Prime Cost Sums have been included for the Supply of Materials and Goods only that have not been selected or agreed at the time of Estimate – The actual value of goods or materials will be costed and the account adjusted accordingly.

16.

DEFECTS LIABILITY PERIOD – The Company will carry out the rectification of any defective materials or labour that arise for a period of six months after practical completion in accordance with that defined by the JCT [Joint Contracts Tribunal] – Defects do not cover natural Shrinkage cracks or differential movement or materials or goods supplied by the customer.
